Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Atchison RWD #5 Customers
The boil water advisory has been lifted for all customers of Atchison Rural Water District #5, including the communities of Lancaster and Huron, and the Shannon Industrial Park near Atchison.
On September 20 and 25, KDHE and RWD #5 staff conducted extensive sampling of chlorine residuals and bacteriological quality throughout the system. Results of the sampling indicate the water is safe for human consumption. KDHE will continue to routinely monitor samples taken from the public water supply to ensure public health.
