KDHE Fines Cromer Consolidated Holdings $49,000
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued an administrative order assessing a $49,000 civil penalty against Cromer Consolidated Holdings, Route 1, Box 55A, Sawyer.
The order also requires owner John Cromer to provide KDHE with financial assurance documents and to clean up and properly dispose of swine carcasses at his facility. The department has determined that improperly disposed carcasses at Cromer Consolidated Holdings pose a risk to human health.
Cromer has until September 11 to appeal the department's order.
