Food Service License Renewals Due in January
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) on November 22 and 23 mailed food service license renewal notices for the year 2000 to currently licensed operators. Food service establishment licenses may be renewed at the fee rate of $100.
Operators who fail to pay license renewal fees before January 1, 2000 must pay a $10 penalty in addition to the regular renewal fee. If the renewal fee and license application are not received by January 31, 2000, operators must re-apply for a license and pay the additional application fee of $100. After fees have been paid, licenses will be mailed in February 2000.
Year 2000 lodging license renewal notices were mailed to currently licensed operators on October 21.
Restaurant and lodging facility operators who do not receive an application by December 7 should contact Jo Hale of the Kansas Department of Health & Environment at 785-296-5600 or 785-296-5603. Written correspondence may be mailed to: 109 SW 9th Street, Suite 604, Topeka Kansas 66612-1274 or fax 785-296-6522.
