State Plans to Revoke Home Health License
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has given notice to a local home health agency that it plans to revoke the agency's license to operate. The Notice of Intent to Revoke was sent to Family First Homecare, 1315 N. West St. #F, Wichita, by certified mail on October 6.
KDHE health facility surveyors visited the agency on June 9, 10, and 11; and documented violations of regulations pertaining to: organization and administration, home health services, nursing services, home health aide services, clinical records, patents' bill of rights, and employee background checks.
A plan to address the violations was agreed to by the agency. After a follow-up survey on August 12 and 13, KDHE determined that the violations had not been corrected.
The agency administrator has appealed to the Secretary of Health and Environment for an administrative hearing.
