Medicalodge of Atchison Fined $7,600
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order assessing a $7,600 civil penalty against Medicalodge of Atchison, 1637 Riley St., Atchison, for violating state nursing home regulations.
KDHE staff inspected the facility on March 2, 3, and 4 and determined that the facility failed to meet standards for quality of care. The department determined the violation resulted in, caused, or posed serious physical harm to a resident. State law authorizes KDHE to issue civil penalties following an inspection under those circumstances.
The order is subject to appeal to the Secretary of Health and Environment.
