Lincoln East Nursing Home Fined $2,500
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order assessing a $2,500 civil penalty against Lincoln East Nursing Home, 4007 E. Lincoln St., Wichita, for violations of state nursing home regulations.
KDHE staff inspected the facility on January 11-15 and 19 and issued a correction order on February 9 citing the facility for failure to meet standards for quality of care. KDHE staff conducted a follow-up inspection on February 22 and 23 that determined the deficiencies had not yet been corrected.
The department assesses a fine when a facility fails to correct the deficiencies by the second visit. Department surveyors continue to check the facility to ensure the deficiencies are corrected.
The order is subject to appeal to the Secretary of Health and Environment.
