Cedar View Good Samaritan Center Fined $10,000
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order assessing a $10,000 civil penalty against Cedar View Good Samaritan Center, 1600 W. Eighth St., Wellington, for violating state nursing home regulations.
KDHE staff inspected the facility on October 12, 13, 14 and 16 and determined that the facility failed to meet standards for resident behavior and facility practices. The department determined the violation resulted in, caused, or posed serious physical harm to a resident. State law authorizes KDHE to issue civil penalties following an inspection under those circumstances.
The order is subject to appeal to the Secretary of Health and Environment.
