Parkway Health Care Center Fined $10,000
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order assessing a $10,000 civil penalty against Parkway Health Care Center, 2840 S. Hillside St., Wichita, for violating state nursing home regulations.KDHE staff inspected the facility on September 25, 28, 30, October 1 and 2 and determined that the facility failed to meet standards for quality of care. The department determined the violation resulted in, caused, or posed serious physical harm to a resident. State law authorizes KDHE to issue civil penalties following an inspection under those circumstances.
The order is subject to appeal to the Secretary of Health and Environment.
