Chetopa Manor Fined $4,500
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has issued an order assessing a $4,500 civil penalty against Chetopa Manor, 814 Walnut, Chetopa, for violating state nursing home regulations.
KDHE staff inspected the facility on September 8, 9, 10 and 11 and determined that the facility failed to meet standards for quality of care; and resident behavior and facility practices. The department determined the violation resulted in, caused, or posed serious physical harm to a resident. State law authorizes KDHE to issue civil penalties following an inspection under those circumstances.
The order is subject to appeal to the Secretary of Health and Environment.
