Three Appointed to the Kansas Board of Adult Care Home Administrators
Gary R. Mitchell, Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment has appointed three new members to the Kansas Board of Adult Care Home Administrators. The seven member board establishes procedures to ensure that adult care home administrators comply with applicable professional and regulatory standards. The Board also issues licenses for adult care home administrators and can revoke, suspend, reprimand, censure or otherwise discipline licensees.
Lou Esplund will fill an Administrator Position on the Board. Esplund is the Administrator of Minneola Nursing Home in Minneola, Kansas.
Delores Schmeidler will serve as a Health Care Representative on the Board. Schmeidler is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist in Hays.
J. June Constable joins the Board as a Consumer Representative. Constable has worked as a Legal Secretary in Salina for the past 25 years.
By statute, the Kansas Board of Adult Care Home Administrators is appointed by the Secretary of Health and Environment. Membership includes three representatives from the field of Health Care, two consumer representatives, and two adult care home administrators.
