Kansas Healthy Homes staff will review all aspects of contractor qualifications, required work forms, property evaluations, submitting and opening bids, awarding contracts, scheduling renovation work, doing the renovation work, passing clearance tests, submitting invoices and receiving project payment.
Kansas Healthy Homes is the result of a nearly $3.1 million Lead Hazard Control grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). The project will provide lead abatement and testing services in 280 qualified housing throughout the state of Kansas and provide training for lead abatement workers and supervisors.
