Wyandotte County Properties Available for Abatement
Through Invitation For Bid Process
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment
(KDHE) is encouraging all interested, certified lead-abatement
contractors to review the information below regarding submitting
bids on Wyandotte properties eligible for abatement work.
Materials
to be reviewed below, include:
Project Lead-Safe KCK staff
will review all aspects of contractor qualifications, required
work forms, property evaluations, submitting and opening bids,
awarding contracts, scheduling renovation work, doing the renovation
work, passing clearance tests, submitting invoices and receiving
project payment.
Project Lead-Safe KCK is the result of a nearly
$3 million Lead Hazard Control grant from the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to the Kansas Department
of Health and Environment (KDHE). The project will provide lead
abatement and testing services in 250 qualified housing units in
Kansas City, KS, and provide training for lead abatement workers
and supervisors.
