Famed crop artist Stan Herd of Lawrence created a special Earth Day collage on the Landon Arena
floor of Topeka's Expocentre on April 21. The collage was assembled using more than 20,000 images submitted to the
Bureau of Waste Management over the past decade as part of its 'Kansas - Don't Spoil It!' calendar contest. A
time-lapse video of the work in progress was shot and posted to YouTube where it has enjoyed more than 5,000 Internet
viewings worldwide.
