1998 Teenage Pregnancy Report

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment annually publishes a teenage pregnancy report, summarizing data collected from vital records on fetal deaths, abortions, and live births. The total of these three elements represents the number of pregnancies. KDHE Health Care Information has compiled pregnancy totals and pregnancy rates for the following age-groups 10-14, 15-19, and 10-17. The information is contained in the following six sections and is reported for the current and recent years. It's broken out by county.

These six summaries are contained in spreadsheets that have been zipped into a single file.  The spreadsheets are in a (.wk1) Lotus 1-2-3 format. To download the spreadsheet file, click here.

When evaluating the rates contained in these summaries please remember that rates based on a small or large number of events in sparsely populated areas can vary widely. Click here to review the Bureau of Public Health Informatics Rate Reliability Statement for further information.
