Beginning with 1998 data the Bureau's Office of Health Assessment has annually prepared a preliminary report on analysis of abortion reports. Additional analyses of the data are presented in the Annual Summary of Vital Statistics for the same year.

The preliminary reports are available as PDF files. The files have been split into a data summary section, covering the analysis of the data, and appendices, that include samples of reporting forms and statutes that address reporting requirements. The files may require a longer period of time to download on computers with a dial-up connection.
