Eligibility workers are available in several locations throughout the state to help you through the application and enrollment process. See our list of outstation eligibility workers to find one near you.

Children: The state of Kansas offers health coverage through HealthWave to qualifying children under age 19. HealthWave is available to children who qualify for either Medicaid or the state Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Pregnant Women: HealthWave coverage is available to expectant mothers who meet eligibility guidelines. The program offers comprehensive health coverage in addition to prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. Overview and Eligibility Guidelines for Pregnant Women.

 

 

 

 

 

Adult Parents and Caregivers: HealthWave coverage is available to adult, non-disabled, non-elderly parents or caregivers of children younger than 19. Benefits and coverage are the same as those for children in HealthWave. Enrollment for adults is limited to those who meet Medicaid eligibility guidelines. Seniors and Disabled: Health coverage and long-term care for people over age 65 and people with disabilities is available through Kansas Medicaid. Participants may also be eligible for Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) as an alternative to institutional care. Medicaid can be used in conjunction with Medicare benefits and covers some services, including nursing home and long-term care, that are not covered by Medicare.
