HealthQuest is looking for Wellness Champions at each agency to join the Wellness Champion Network. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 11:30 am via web and audio conference for about 45 minutes.

A network of agency Champions provides program support and implementation at the "grass roots" level. These individuals are responsible for promoting HealthQuest activities, scheduling health talks and seminars and raising health awareness within the worksite. They are supported by the HealthQuest staff within the State Employee Health Plan.

Champions can influence their peers to participate, find out what employees want and get frank feedback on how employees feel about particular wellness activities. Champions become spokespersons for the program and play a vital role in spreading the HealthQuest message throughout the State. Through the Champion's efforts, many employees will adopt healthier lifestyles and habits resulting in an increased quality of life for them.
