FBI provides toll-free numbers to report bioterrorism concerns for Kansans The Kansas City Division of the FBI has announced the creation of toll-free numbers for the general public to report concerns relating to terrorism. The numbers are as follows:
For Information Regarding Anthrax or to Welcome to the home page of the Kansas Health Alert Network (HAN). The Health Alert Network is part of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Bioterrorism Planning and Response effort. CDC provides funding for the HAN as part of an effort to create nationwide, integrated information and communications system. The Health Alert Network supports: Preparedness planning Disease surveillance and epidemiologic investigation Electronic laboratory test reporting Emergency communications, and Professional workforce training. The reason for creating a Health Alert Network is to ensure that health departments are prepared to respond to bioterrorism incidents by supporting and offering training and information. In case of an incident the HAN will ensure that health care providers and emergency responders can communicate rapidly and easily.
