Facility Registration

Register Your Drycleaner Business:

To Find a Kansas Registered Drycleaner:

Each owner of an operating drycleaning facility shall register annually with KDHE for each separate facility. A registration form for Kansas drycleaning facilities shall be accompanied by a fee of $100 for each operating drycleaning facility. A drycleaning facility is any commercial establishment that operates for the purpose of cleaning garments or other fabrics utilizing a process that involves any use of drycleaning solvents. Registration forms are due each calendar year by January 31, of the registration year or no later than 30 days after operations begin. A change of ownership also requires a new registration form no later than 30 days after operations begin. The current registration certificate must be posted in a conspicuous location in the public area of each registered, operating drycleaning facility.

A separate program managed by KDHE's Bureau of Waste Management also requires a $100 monitoring fee for all "Kansas Generators" in the Spring of each year per K.A.R. 28-31-10(g)(3). The "Kansas Generators" monitoring fee is separate and distinct from the Kansas Drycleaning Program. Do not submit the "Kansas Generator" information/fee with your annual drycleaning facility registration form and payment. Please contact BWM at (785) 296-1608 if you have any questions regarding the "Kansas Generator" Monitoring Fee.
