Improved Maternal & Child Health Outcomes
The Kansas Perinatal Community Collaboratives utilizing the Becoming a Mom/Comenzando bien® curriculum have enhanced participants' social support, stimulated behavior change, and improved birth outcomes. This level and intensity of community collaboration across agencies and programs is contributing to a much greater impact than any one agency working in isolation could do on its own.
