ACT (Arthritis Community Taskforce)
The ACT (Arthritis Community Taskforce)
is dedicated to raising the awareness of
arthritis to Kansans, increasing the knowledge
of and participation in community-based
self-management programs, and the collection
of data to determine the impact of arthritis in Kansas.
ACT is comprised of representatives from the following organizations or entities:
- Arthritis Foundation, Kansas and Western Missouri/Greater Kansas City Chapters
- University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC)
- Kansas Department on Aging
- Kansas Physical Therapy Association
- Kansas State University Horticulture, Forestry and Recreation Resources
- University of Kansas Department of Gerontology
- Kansas Activity Directors Association
- Johnson County Health Department
- Johnson County Area Agency on Aging
- KU School of Medicine – Wichita, Dept. of Preventive Medicine and Public Health
- Kansas Injury and Disability Program
- Kansas Radio Networks
- Kansas State University, Extension Specialist, Aging
