Former Schilling Air Force Base

November 12, 2013. The KDHE Federal Facilities Program is preparing a Community Involvement Plan (CIP) for the Former Schilling Air Force Base, Salina, Kansas, environmental cleanup activities which will include a remedial investigation, feasibility study and corrective action decision (Record of Decision). KDHE representatives will discuss the regulatory role in the project at a November 20, 2013, public meeting to be hosted by the Salina Public Entities, and will be available at the end of the meeting until 9:00 p.m. to conduct citizen interviews prior to finalizing the CIP. Additional interviews will be scheduled for Monday, November 25, 2013, and Tuesday, November 26, 2013.
